Walk down Gandhi Road in Arani on any evening and you'll see it — saree shops lit up, weavers counting the day's orders, families in from Thatchur and Sevur buying for a wedding. That's real money moving through this town every single day. We're looking for a franchise partner to open a Tasty Nation here, because right now, after all that shopping, there's nowhere near the bus stand that gives you a proper waffle or a cold boba shake — just the usual tea and juice shops.
You know how Arani works — the looms don't stop, and neither does the trade on Gandhi Road and around the New Bus Stand. Families here are used to spending on something nice after a good week at the shop, whether that's new silk for a function or a stop for something sweet on the way home. Desserts are already an everyday habit in this town: the sweet shops and bakeries near both bus stands do steady business every single day, some of them pulling in thousands of reviews between them on Google. What Arani hasn't had yet is a place built around waffles, thickshakes and boba the way the bigger towns nearby have — not instead of the local sweet shop, alongside it.
Think about who's out on Market Road and Bus Stand Road after six — students from University College of Engineering at Thatchur and the polytechnic on the Arani–Arcot–Chennai highway heading home, young staff from the silk shops finishing their shift, and families who've just closed a purchase and want to sit down somewhere nice before the drive back to Sevur or Mullipattu. On weekends add relatives in town for a wedding shopping trip, and anyone who's pulled off the Chennai–Vellore road for a break. That's your crowd — not one type of customer, all of Arani on a normal day.
We checked what Arani already searches for and rates on Google Maps — across sweet shops, ice-cream parlours, juice corners and bakeries in town, there are close to 20 places with a real following, ratings mostly sitting between 4 and 5, and one listing alone carrying close to 1,500 reviews. That tells you Arani already trusts a sweet shop with its money. What we didn't find in any of those searches was a single place built specifically around waffles, thickshakes or bubble tea — what comes up instead are general bakeries, tea stalls and juice counters that happen to also sell ice-cream or a milkshake on the side. That's the gap: Arani loves a sweet treat, it just doesn't have a shop built entirely around one yet.
A few stretches of town already pull people in for a treat — here's where we'd start looking with you.
Arani doesn't have a mall-style food court yet, so this isn't a food-court counter story — it's a standalone outlet, run the way our Kay Food Street store in Chennai is, with its own counter and seating. Given what's already busy on Bus Stand Road and the highway stretch near Housing Board, a compact standalone spot with room for a few tables fits this town better than a counter inside a shopping centre that doesn't exist here yet.
Every recipe and process is documented and taught to you hands-on at our Chennai outlets before you open in Arani — training takes just two days, and that's enough even if you've never run a counter before. From there we help with ingredient sourcing and marketing materials, and walk the discovery call, site evaluation and setup with you step by step. And because a Tasty Nation outlet runs with almost no food waste, one of the biggest headaches in any food business barely shows up here.
No. We're exploring opening our first outlet in Arani now — if you message us, you'd be an early conversation, not joining an existing one.
No previous food, kitchen or business experience is needed. Training is two days, hands-on at our Chennai outlets, and covers everything you need to run the counter.
No. Arani doesn't have a mall-style food court yet, so this would be a standalone outlet — on a market road or near one of the bus stands, the kind of spot we look at together during site evaluation.
It can. Tell us about your current business and any site you have in mind on the discovery call; it's one of the things we look at.
Investment and the area needed are discussed on the discovery call, not published here — every city is looked at on its own.
Send a WhatsApp enquiry through this page. We'll set up a discovery call, look at your site in Arani, and walk you through setup and training.
